For the past five and half years Mike has brought his vast business and communication experience to assist folks like you step into franchising. Mike is recognized as a “Top Ten Performer” for the leading franchise consulting company.

Over the past 41 years Mike has been an owner and operator of a number f businesses in a few different industries, including the franchise industry. He has gone through the approval process with four major franchise brands and even used a consultant to assist in the process prior to becoming one himself.

He has advocated for franchise business, consulted with franchise owners, mediated with business owners and even sold to business owners. He understands the many aspects of researching, locating, funding and making the final decision. He understands the challenges we all go through to step into our future.

He has spent over 25 years representing franchisees and other business owners. Among other roles, he was the CEO/Executive Director of the Domino’s Franchisee Association and was elected to be the international ombudsman for the entire system.

He has worked with other National and International Brands as a Board Member of the American Franchisee Association. Mike also testified before a U.S. Congressional Committee while they were developing the FDD. His testimony was targeted at influencing the content of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

Mike has consulted for a number of national franchises associations, including national brands like Little Caesars and Jackson Hewitt, focusing on how to manage the relationship with the Franchisor and build the franchisee associations.

At 20 years old Mike was hired as a Domino’s Pizza Assistant Manager. He progressed to manager, single unit franchisee and area franchisee. Ten years later he owned nine stores. Eventually owning 12 before cashing out.

As a Domino’s franchisee, he has influenced decisions through co-op advertising presidencies in Detroit and Chicago, National Marketing Boards, National and Regional Agency Reviews, Equipment & Supply Boards, Standards Boards, and Board Member of the Domino’s Pizza Distribution Corp. He was also a member of the Executive Team, the group that ran and made the day-to-day decisions for the multi-billion dollar company.

Mike has also owned several independent businesses, including a 25,000 sq. ft. roller rink, a beer kiosk on the largest US Marine Base in the United States and a mediation firm, which included some of the top mediators in the country.

Mike has been a Certified Mediator with multiple accreditations. Over the past 25 years he has mediated in a number of formats including Circuit Courts, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the United States Postal Service (USPS).

On the personal side he has five children and lives in Northern Illinois on the Fox River.
